WIPO ASSIGNS PATENT TO ALCATEL-LUCENT USA FOR "GROUP SESSION MANAGEMENT AND ADMISSION CONTROL OF MULTIPLE INTERNET PROTOCOL FLOWS" (AMERICAN INVENTORS)

GENEVA, June 28 -- Publication No. WO/2011/075293 was published on June 23.

Title of the invention: "GROUP SESSION MANAGEMENT AND ADMISSION CONTROL OF MULTIPLE INTERNET PROTOCOL FLOWS."

Applicants: ALCATEL-LUCENT USA INC. (US).

Inventors: Michael F. Dolan (US) and Konstantin Livanos (US).

According to the abstract posted by the World Intellectual Property Organization: "The present invention provides a method for establishing a plurality of flows between an application server and a plurality of user equipment to support one or more applications. The method includes transmitting a group request from the application server to a policy server. The group request is to establish the flows and includes information indicating one or more relationships between the flows. The method also includes receiving, at the application server and from the policy server, a response to the group request indicating whether the flows have been established subject to one or more constraints imposed by the relationship(s)."

The patent was filed on Nov. 23, 2010 under Application No. PCT/US2010/057741.
