NSW: Anastacia continues to attract Aussie fans
American singer ANASTACIA appears to have won over local music fans with thousandsturning out to see the star during her promotional tour.
About 3,000 mainly teenage fans packed the Sydney's Darling Harbour today to see thesoulful pop performer, with the trademark large sunglasses, belt out four songs live.
In stark contrast with other promotional visits by music and film stars, ANASTACIAseemed to enjoy touching bases with the appreciative crowd -- and asked one fan onstageto join her in a singalong.
Her record company, Sony Music Australia, says more than 6,000 fans turned out in Brisbaneto see ANASTACIA -- and there were around 4,000 in Melbourne.
ANASTACIA's is in Australia to promote her new album Freak Of Nature, currently number30 on the ARIA album chart
