NEW ORLEANS Michael Dennis, a quiet, clean-shaven man with aquick grin, never expected to be a hero. Of course, he neverexpected to be living under an overpass, either.
"People are quick with labels," Dennis said Monday, two daysafter pulling two people from a burning automobile.
"Friday mine was `homeless,' Saturday it was `hero.' You knowthe difference between a homeless man and a hero? As a homeless manI get a few quarters. As a hero I don't even get that."
