Representatives of the Netherlands returned to Albany Monday during the city's Tricentennial year, but this time to tackle an issue that was unheard of when the Dutch first planted roots here more than 300 years ago.
The talk was of electricity, renewable energy, and stricter environmental laws rather than Indians, forts, and the fur trading business.
Their surroundings were also different when it came to lunch - the Dutch Portrait Gallery of the Albany Institute of History and Art - instead of a wilderness campfire.
